Dry Brushing Benefits

Happy Monday! What is drying brushing and why should you start today? Dry brushing involves using a dry brush on your skin to exfoliate the dead skin cells. It benefits your skin and your body in many ways and I think the biggest benefit is that it helps eliminate toxins from your body.  Here are some tips if you are interested in adding this technique to your self-care routine.

 Tips:

  • Do long strokes towards your heart 2-3 times over each area

  • On your stomach, do a clockwise motion

  • Dry brush 1-2 times per week

  • Recommend doing it before you get in the shower

  • Apply moisturizer after you are done

  • Clean your brush each week to remove dead skin cells
